Founded in 1987 upon amalgamation of two grammar schools, Ashleigh House and Princess Gardens; enjoys complete seclusion in south Belfast on attractive 37-acre campus, with well-equipped modern buildings and extensive grounds; mature woodlands and gardens; outdoor facilities for hockey, netball, tennis, and athletics. Serves wide catchment area, from Bangor to Crumlin, Downpatrick, Moira, Banbridge, Ballinderry, Antrim and Carrickfergus. Recent refurbishment of teaching accommodation; three-room ICT suite and library refurbished in 2000. Opened Redwood Centre (2003), multi-function sports hall, fitness suite and restaurant; new science building opened at same time, providing four laboratories, two classrooms, and associated preparation rooms.
